Sirje Okas Ainso

An Estonian-Argentine artist, Sirje now lives and works in Miami, while travelling and exhibiting worldwide.

Her work has been shown at the UNITED NATIONS headquarters in NYC and she has exhibited  with UN Artists Group to benefit the work of UNICEF. In 2004 her work was included in a Light Show on the Grand Canal in Venezia, Italy- a  week-long virtual art show by a group of 20 international artists.

The TANGO series has been exhibited in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the National Palace of Tango, in NYC and in Estonia.

Since 2012 she has participated at major ART FAIRS in the US: at Art San Diego and within the framework of the prestigious Art Basel Miami- Artexpo, The Miami River Art Fair, ArtPalm Beach, and at the International Biennial Art at Nina Torres Fine Art Gallery in Miami. In 2016 her work was shown at the Castle of Soncino in Rocca Storzesca, Italy, in 2017 at the Cito Art Fair in Chelsea ,NYC.

Her mixed media series MIAMI NOIR/MIAMI ROUGE was premiered at the World Art Tour– at Dubai WTC in 2018, and shown in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2019, by Nina Torres Fine Art.

Sirje’s latest series- FACES 2020/CARAS Y CARETAS– is presented at Studio 35 in Hallandale, Miami.

ABOUT US

This website is dedicated to all of the 80,000 (about 10% of the population) emigrés who had to leave their homeland with their families between 1940-1944.

With over 5000 works of art. It has become difficult to find a suitable home for these rich historic artworks. The majority of the works on display and for sale on this website are from Mai Vomm Järve’s collection (predominantly works from the Society of Estonian Artists in Toronto-EKKT members).
